Lemon Angel (2020)

(島えりか)
This Lemon Angel blog was disbanded a long time ago. But I think it is time for a final 2020 update. I used to have a popular Midnight Lemon Angel blog on Tumblr, a few decades later Tumblr put in these new rules in which adult related content or anything kinky was no longer welcome. So I shut down the website.
(レモンエンジェル)
This site here and the original one of Tumblr got a lot of attention at the time. If you were to type in [https://midnight-lemon-angel-1980s.tumblr.com/] in Google you will see a few archived pages. Any media attention the blog got back then, no longer seems to be online. It has been several years.

There will be a lot of information about Erika Okushima, but you will have to look below. As of 2018, she has became very active on social media. Even going to the length of opening up her own Lemon Angel fan-club. But don't jump up too soon, if you are not Japanese, it's not for you. As she had made it clear - no foreigners.

Erika actually has actually came across all of the information provided, and she comments on the said "rivalry" and gives comment on what she believes is an Internet hoax. She's currently working with Studio Hanahou.

The most recent reference to Lemon Angel was Hakoiri Musume paying them tribute by covering Lemon Angel's cover of Bananarama's "Love in the First Degree."

There won't be any Lemon Angel reunion. But Tomo actually talked about Lemon Angel in 2019. Tomo Sakurai is Tomo Satoshi now, and goes by the name Satoshi Sakurai.
Like Erika, she also opened up a new YouTube channel and at 5:21, she talks about Lemon Angel, several decades later. This is the closest you will get to a Lemon Angel reunion.

Tomo Sakurai retired from show business in 2016, but has since returned to the entertainment industry as of June 2019. She spent her retirement working at a noodle shop.

The only reason why Tomo retired from voice-over, as she is a voice actress for cartoons, was because it became difficult to use her voice.

There is no information on Miki. Last heard of her, she was a photographer. But she is still in contact with Erika. Look below to see all of Erika's responses.
Erika responding to the big Lemon Angel "feud" that happened in 1990. She laughs and says she doesn't know what each of the girls thought personally. What she doesn't realise is, the information given of the "break-up" was actually in books.
Erika talking about how much of Lemon Angel comes up. Well it has been several years. To think she only just saw it trending several years later.

Erika Shima talking about her "secret" Lemon Angel fan community.
Erika interested to learn that there were "Lemon Angel" projects or a project after the original.
Erika Shima telling fans that her group was getting too many requests from foreigners and that she only wanted to connect with old fans.
Erika talking about foreigners, and how she will not accept them or people who have not met her. Well to be honest, it was thought that she could speak and read English, turns out she is not able to. So non-Japanese fans would probably get on her nerves.
Erika asking if someone called Lemon Angel "Lemon", was he a fan of Lemon Angel at the time, or only her who thinks that!?

Erika learning that Tomo covered her song "Anniversary."
It was Tokyo Rose 88's "anniversary" in 2018.
Erika speaking how her secret Lemon Angel fan club was coming along.
Erika was upset that the Japanese Wikipedia listed her solo song for Tomo's.
But soon after she was sad, someone fixed it for her.
Erika talking about how famous Tomo is.
Erika took a photo with a "Witch" friend. People thought it was Miki, turns out it was not Miki.
I wish all of Lemon Angel the best. This blog is not going to be updated anymore. Erika Shima is "allowing" Lemon Angel to live on but only for those who supported her back during the 80's in Japan. If you wasn't there, you are not welcome. Specially if you do not speak Japanese. So if anyone has a sudden interest in Lemon Angel, ensure you don't overstep boundaries.

And as said Erika runs a special group for Japanese fans, that special secret group also features old staff members and fans of the series.
